Many people were really excited about the new features of Family.me trees that will be live this summer. Family.me CEO Harrison Tang and Software Development Manager Tomer Almog gave exciting previews of the Family.me living tree, which will feature a new way of categorizing your family’s memories by tagging.

RootsTech Here We Come!

Family.me at RootsTech

It’s finally time for RootsTech 2016! We’re so excited to share what we’ve been working on. We’ve stayed busy developing a new and improved family tree. It is the first interactive tree in which families can discover, share, and preserve their memories together.

If you plan on attending RootsTech this year, please visit us at booth #616 for a preview to see how you add your latest photos as new leaves, organize all your memories by tags, and bring your tree to life! We will also have fun props and a photographer. Stop by to take a fun photo with your family and receive a special giveaway.

We hope to see you there!

Some of the best memories are made traveling. Create a scrapbook of all the trips that you’ve taken as a family and make it into a photomap. Simply get a map of wherever you have traveled, and cut a photo taken on each trip in the shape of the location (state or country) of where it was taken.

Add some color to your scrapbook pages by creating an “Ombre Paint Chip” design. Make a trip to the hardware store and have each person in your family choose their favorite paint chip colors, then punch out designs in each shade. Then, just add the punched-out shapes around pictures for an exciting pop of color!

Pressed Flowers

Instead of adding paper flowers to your scrapbook, add real flowers by pressing them! This is a creative way to bring a natural flair to your scrapbook. If you don’t know how to press flowers, check out some easy instructions here! This is a fun activity that the whole family can participate in!

Did you go somewhere tropical this last year? A cool way to remember those beach days is by creating your own sand pocket to keep in your scrapbook. All you need to do is collect a little sand from your getaway and create the pocket with some plastic films and washi tape.

Have fun scrapbooking!
